In Science we have been investigating reversible and irreversible changes (who can explain to our readers what that means?). As you can see from the photographs we did lots of different experiments, but can you remember what they were and whether they were reversible or irreversible changes?

Dear Mrs Wilson, I am writing to you to request to go outside with Year 5 in the playground to play in the snow. Everyone has agreed that you are the best head teacher this school has ever had and you always do everything right and with a certain. You always have a big jolly smile and say good morning to everyone. In addition to this, when we go outside we can build lovely snowmen and we will have even better work in literacy because we can do poems, describe writing, stories and it will be great. Also, this term our topic is all about different weather kinds. Furthermore, we need a boost up out in the fresh air because it makes our brains fresh. Please consider this Mrs Wilson please. It won’t be long before it goes and we might not have it for the next few years and a hour or two outside and we would be the most sparkling for students. To support my view it would be the most jolly, special day in our lives! If you agree to this, me and my students would be delighted. Finally, as you are brilliant, I’m sure you could let us as we have been working so hard this term. If you do we will be grateful you forever! Yours sincerely, Miss B. Clarke
If elephants ruled the world what changes would you see? There is NO right or wrong answer to this question – simply YOUR answer. You need to think about your answers and be able to justify them – in other words, don’t say the first thing that comes into your head, AND, fully explain your answers. Read the answers given by others and treat them seriously – even if they sound odd, they may all be valid if they can be justified. It's that time of the year again when we make our New Year's Resolution. Mrs Mulroy and I have been busy discussing what we need to get better at for the year to come. So here are our resolutions and we have chosen one for school and one for our home life.
Miss Magor School - to mark all my books before I go home from school! Home Life - to excerise at least 3 times a week to get a beach bod for my honeymoon :0) Mrs Mulroy School - to use ICT and blog more ;0) Home Life - to drink less wine, ha! Mr Russel School - to give lots of positive praise Home Life - to eat more healthy food and less biscuits! In maths we have been learning about coordinates. We had to plot the coordinates and join them together so in the end they turned out to be a Christmas cracker! Archie worked hard on his cracker and eventually worked out what it was. All the maths group enjoyed this activity. Many people finished the cracker and went on to the next activity which were more difficult coordinates. Lots of people enjoyed this activity and would like to do it again. Some people were confused about remembering which way you have to plot the coordinates. So remember, along the corridor , up the stairs. |
