Some year 6 boys were doing the worm, some were doing the conga and everyone joined in the last dance macaraina.
The last game we played was Christmas corners and the corners were a sleigh, santa, presents and a christmas tree. Mrs Mulroy and Miss Magor were the people who said the corners. Before we went into the corners, everybody was dancing to the songs that were being played.Miss Ward was the dancing D.J Everyone enjoyed them selves and we all had a great time!!! I wonder what we will do next year?? Take a peek at some of our photos. Can you spot the best dressed, the best dancer and the lucky winners? Yesterday, in maths we were making posters to show different ways of doubling. We had a competition to see who made the best poster. Shaun won the competition and Tigerlily and Emily were the runners up!!! They really enjoyed taking part!! All of the posters we made were extremely useful in informing us how to double. Some posters had some eye-catching pictures and colourful diagrams. Written by Emilia and Euan. See if you can work out the answers to these doubling questions: 1. double 34 2. double 93 3. double 148 4. double 375 5. double 0.45 In maths we have been learning about coordinates. We had to plot the coordinates and join them together so in the end they turned out to be a Christmas cracker! Archie worked hard on his cracker and eventually worked out what it was. All the maths group enjoyed this activity. Many people finished the cracker and went on to the next activity which were more difficult coordinates. Lots of people enjoyed this activity and would like to do it again. Some people were confused about remembering which way you have to plot the coordinates. So remember, along the corridor , up the stairs.
We had great fun decorating our classroom on Friday afternoon! I challenged groups of children in 5FM to make the longest paper chain they could in 10 minutes. Sound simple? Well it wasn't because they could only use one hand! The winners were Tyla, Baker, Alfie and Chloe. Fantastic team work you guys :)
I loved watching everyone trying different ways of making the chain, using the scissors and sellotape, ha! What do you think was the most difficult and most fun part? |
